French Onion Dip
Dip. It’s the quintessential party food! I love all kinds of dip (I am on the hunt for an amazing baba ganoush recipe) but French Onion dip is so classic and always a crowd pleaser.
What you need:
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups brown onion
250g sour cream
1 tbsp white vinegar
2 tbsp fresh chopped herbs (chives or parsley)
What to do:
- Dice onion (hope you have an easy slice!).
- Saute in a frypan with oil and salt for 10 – 12 minutes until lightly golden and turning a bit caramelised.
- Let cool completely.
- In a bowl (best to use the one you want to serve in) place the onion, sour cream and vinegar.
- Mix together well then place in the fridge for at least half an hour before serving.
- Stir then add herbs and a bit of salt and pepper before you serve.
